Database Search

The Database Search tool can be accessed through the Tools\Database Search menu.

When the search window opens it will determine which data source to use as the default based on the activity of the Object Browser . The data source that currently has focus will be selected. If the current data source is not connected, the last connected data source will be selected.

Database Data Transfer Utility

The averSQL data transfer utility let’s you easily and quick transfer data from one database to another. You can setup a transfer for one table or you can create a process that would transfer data from many tables. Once the setup is complete, all it takes to complete the transfer is the click of one button. This feature is available for SQL Anywhere, SAP ASE, and SQL Server. You can transfer data between the same DBMS or each of the aforementioned.

SQL Server Support – Coming Soon

The current version of averSQL provides full support for SQL Anywhere and SAP ASE. The next version, 8.1.0, will introduce support for Microsoft’s SQL Server.

We’re wrapping up testing and should be prepared to deploy in February. Version 8.1.0 will be a free upgrade for current 8.0.0 users.

Introducing averSQL

averSQL  (pronounced ey-ver-S-Q-L) is an SQL editor and SQL query tool designed to work specifically for SQL Anywhere and SAP ASE. The main goal is to give developers of these databases a better tool to work with instead of having to rely on ISQL (Interactive SQL).

Within averSQL you’ll find things like a debugger, advanced editor features, database search, data transfer, visual difference, quick access to data, quick access to database objects, etc..  For more details, visit our features page.
